Acting Jakarta Governor (Plt) Sumarsono wants more severe sanction for driver who violates Transjakarta bus way. This is needed to suppress the numbers of accident on the bus way.

"It is needed to have more severe sanction than traffic ticket fines and driver license (SIM) withdrawn for some time. If rules can be applied strictly, the numbers of accident on bus way can be suppressed," he said, Wednesday (2/1).

According to Sumarsono, there are many factors which caused accident on bus way. But the main factor is because of driver's behavior. The second is because lack of supervision from personnel and lack of signs along the road.

"If it is caused by human error factor from Transjakarta bus driver, I think the possibility is very small," he added.

He continued that formerly, Transjakarta accident is caused by flammable PT. Transjakarta facilities.

"But now, Transjakarta bus facilities is good, so the accident numbers which caused by burnt bus is not mention again," he closed.
